InPost Group boosts its international activity: 740 million parcels in the first half
Logistics operator InPost Group closed the first half of 2026 with 23% growth in managed parcel volume, reaching 740 million units. Group revenue rose to €1,890.8 million, 24% more than in the same period last year. This progress consolidates the company's international expansion strategy, which already generates 54% of its revenue outside its domestic market, Poland.
In the second quarter, the company managed 380.9 million parcels, up 16% year-on-year, with revenue of €982.5 million (+18.2%). Adjusted EBITDA stood at €245.4 million, up 4.4%. These results reflect sustained demand for out-of-home delivery solutions, especially in the Eurozone, where volumes grew 30% to 101 million parcels, and revenue rose 37.9% to €287.1 million.
The locker network in the Eurozone reached 23,385 points, 52% more than a year ago, while out-of-home points totaled 45,771, up 13%. The UK and Ireland also showed strong dynamism, with 158.7 million parcels in the half, up 67%, and 15,628 operational lockers, up 41%.
What does this growth mean for the wholesale footwear sector?
For a footwear wholesaler, InPost's expansion is not minor news. The network of lockers and convenience points is redefining the last mile, especially in the e-commerce channel and direct-to-consumer sales. If your store sells online, offering locker pickup can reduce shipping costs and failed delivery rates, a critical factor in a sector with tight average tickets like footwear.
Furthermore, InPost's growth in the Eurozone and the UK opens opportunities for cross-border trade. A Spanish wholesaler exporting to France, Italy, or Germany can leverage this network to offer cheaper and faster deliveries, improving competitiveness against traditional operators. The capillarity of lockers also allows reaching rural or low-density areas where home delivery is expensive or inefficient.
For the retailer, the rise of out-of-home implies rethinking reverse logistics: returns through lockers are more agile and economical, something essential in footwear, where the return rate due to sizing often exceeds 30% in online sales. Integrating this option into your checkout can reduce friction and increase conversion.
Spanish context: an expanding network that benefits the B2B channel
In Spain, InPost has accelerated its deployment during 2025 and 2026, although its presence is still smaller than in other European markets. However, the trend is clear: Spanish consumers increasingly value the flexibility of picking up their orders at nearby points, and wholesalers who get ahead of this demand can offer a differential service to their end customers.
For the B2B channel, the capillarity of the network also facilitates the distribution of samples and urgent orders to multi-brand stores, reducing lead times and costs. InPost's expansion in the Eurozone, with 52% more lockers, suggests the company is prioritizing markets where fashion and footwear e-commerce is booming.
Out-of-home logistics is not a fad: it is an infrastructure that is changing the rules of the game in footwear distribution. Wholesalers who integrate it into their operations will have a clear competitive advantage.
Conclusion: an opportunity to optimize your supply chain
InPost's growth is a symptom of a structural change in e-commerce logistics. For the footwear sector, where size fitting and seasonality are constant challenges, having a flexible and economical delivery network is a strategic asset. If you haven't yet adapted your shipments to this reality, now is the time to do so.
